A Fresh Look for the Gym
The gym in the Sir Ben Ainslie Sports Centre has been renovated for a revamped look and new equipment for 2024.
The recently completed works in the gym, at the city centre-based sports complex, boast a fresh new look created by local interior design consultancy 3idog. The design includes wooden panelling, neon signs, ambient lighting and artificial plant walls. It also features inspirational images of Sir Ben Ainslie, one of the most successful sailors in Olympic history and a former pupil at Truro School in the 1990s.
Along with the renovations, the gym has been updated with new and now boasts five zones; cardio, fixed strength, free weights, cable strength and a functional zone, allowing members space to get fit while enjoying the fantastic views over Truro.
Situated on the campus at Truro School, the gym at the Sir Ben Ainslie Centre is open to the public for flexible gym memberships including monthly (no-contract) memberships, direct debit and annual plans. There is also an option to add a swim membership to further boost your fitness.
Members will receive a free induction and fitness plan and can sign up for additional personal training sessions with trained staff members.
Sir Ben Ainslie Sports Centre Manager Amy Blackford says of the renovations, “We are delighted with the improvements made to the gym at the Sir Ben Ainslie Sports Centre. The renovations have created a great environment to work out and get fit. The new equipment has been a real hit with our current members and we are looking forward to welcoming new members into the gym for 2024.”
