This programme is designed for children who have completed their learn to swim programmes, and now wish to advance their skills!
RLSS UK’s Rookie Lifeguard Pool programme enables children to learn valuable water safety skills in a fun, engaging, educational, and social swimming pool environment.
The Rookie Lifeguard Pool programme teaches children interchangeable skills that help build their confidence, promote teamwork, and foster leadership skills. Rookie Pool Lifeguards develop the basic survival, rescue and lifesaving skills that will empower them to respond effectively in emergency situations.

Rookie Lifeguard Pre-Requisites:
Every child attending a Rookie Lifeguard course must be between the ages of 8 and 12 years, and;

Be able to swim 25m confidently

Be confident in deep water

Be able to tread water
Unfortunately, children not at this stage of swimming are unlikely to be able to manage the demands of the course.
