Creative Children’s Holiday Camps in Truro

For ages 6-12 Years.

Looking for a fun, creative and safe children’s holiday club in Truro? Truro School’s Arts and Crafts Camp offers exciting school holiday childcare for children aged 6–12 years, combining creativity, friendship and hands-on fun in a supportive environment.

Designed to keep children entertained throughout the school holidays, our arts and crafts camp features themed activity days packed with imaginative projects, creative challenges and opportunities to learn new skills. Whether your child loves making, building, painting, crafting or exploring new ideas, there’s something for everyone.

Led by experienced facilitators Debbie Yigit and Alison Hanson, our holiday camps provide a welcoming space where children can express their creativity, build confidence, make new friends and create lasting holiday memories.

Arts and Crafts Camp Themes

Our sessions are divided into four exciting themes, each designed to inspire creativity and curiosity through a mixture of individual and collaborative activities.

Literary Legends

Perfect for young book lovers and creative storytellers.

Activities may include:

  • Tie-dyeing and decorating a book bag
  • Designing personalised bookmarks
  • Creating book character spoons
  • Making literary-themed rag dolls
  • Story-inspired crafts and group projects

Nature Ninjas

Explore the natural world through outdoor-inspired arts and crafts.

Activities may include:

  • Willow weaving and nature weaving
  • Nature scavenger hunts
  • Cyanotype printing using leaves and flowers
  • Nature-based creative projects
  • Collaborative environmental artwork

Thursday 30 July 2026 and Friday 21 August 2026

Wizarding Wonders

A magical day inspired by the world of wizards, spells and imagination.

Activities may include:

  • Wand making
  • Potion crafting
  • Creating fantastic creatures using air-dry clay
  • Magical sock puppet making
  • Wizard-themed group projects

Crafty Creators

A celebration of creativity featuring a wide range of exciting craft activities.

Activities may include:

  • Friendship bracelets and beadwork
  • Dreamcatchers
  • Pop-up cards
  • Cardboard construction projects
  • Mask making
  • Air-dry clay modelling
  • Pencil toppers
  • Crafts using recycled books
  • Zine making
  • Seasonal decorations

Group Projects and Creative Collaboration

Every camp day includes a large collaborative project, encouraging teamwork, communication and creative problem-solving.

Children may work together to create:

  • A cardboard village
  • An underwater aquarium display
  • Nature-inspired installations
  • Story-themed scenes and displays

Throughout the summer, children’s artwork will be combined into a growing exhibition, allowing participants to contribute to a larger creative showcase across multiple camp sessions.

A Relaxed and Supportive Environment

Alongside structured craft activities, children will enjoy time to relax and recharge with quieter activities including:

  • LEGO
  • Colouring
  • Reading
  • Board games
  • Jigsaws

This balance of creativity, play and downtime helps ensure every child has an enjoyable and rewarding experience.

Standard Camp Day

  • 10:00am – 4:00pm

Extended Day with Wraparound Care

  • 8:30am – 5:30pm

Age Range

Children aged 6–12 years.

Cost

£36 per child, per day

Food and Refreshments

Children should bring:

  • A healthy packed lunch
  • Snacks for the day
  • A refillable water bottle

Please note:

  • No nuts or nut-based products

Arrival and Collection

Standard Camp Day

Arrival

Registration takes place at the Sir Ben Ainslie Sports Centre from 9:45am.

Collection

Collection takes place between 4:00pm and 4:15pm from the Sir Ben Ainslie Sports Centre.

If your child needs to leave early, please notify a member of staff during registration.

Wraparound Care

To support working families, children attending the Arts and Crafts Camp can access wraparound care through our Multi-Sport Camp.

Morning Session

  • Arrival between 8:30am and 9:00am
  • Children join the Multi-Sport Camp before transferring to Arts and Crafts Camp at 10:00am

Afternoon Session

  • Children return to the Multi-Sport Camp at 4:00pm
  • Collection between 5:00pm and 5:30pm at the Sir Ben Ainslie Sports Centre

Cost

  • £5 per morning session
  • £5 per afternoon session
