Art Print Workshop

The Activity camp will be taking place at Truro Schools Art department.
Age range 8-12 years old.
The cost of the camp will be £30 per day.
Please ensure children are provided with a healthy packed lunch, snacks and water.
Outline of the day
Working with professional print maker Mike Brett students will develop knowledge and skills using drawing, photography and lino printing skills. The resulting work will be a two/three colour lino print inspired by architecture of Truro School.
Session #1: 8:30 – 10:50 (2hrs 20mins) TASK #1: Create a continuous line drawing of buildings around Truro School using fine liners/fountain pens. TASK #2: Take photos of buildings ready for Session #2 using digital cameras + SD cards (x5 cameras). TASK #3: Photocopy best drawing or print best photo. TASK #4: Create mono-print. TASK #5: Tissue paper sky if time allows.
Breaks: 10:50 – 11:10 (20mins)
Session #2: 11:10 – 12:50 (1hr 40mins) TASK #7: Print photography to size of print of the lino plate. Pressure transfer images onto plates. Prepare *blue coloured paper to print on. (x4 sheets per student). *will create blue lines.
Lunch: 12:50 – 14:00 (1hr 10mins)
Session #3: 14:00 – 15:30 (1hr 30mins). TASK #8: Cut away where students want to keep the black. Ink up and print second colour (yellow or orange).
Break: 15:30 – 15:50 (20mins)
Session #4: 15:50 – 17:00 (1hr 10mins) TASK #9: Ink up and print second colour (white) and dry.
TASK #10: Frame best print.
