Burrell Theatre Drama workshops (Bookings GO Live Friday 6th March)

Join us for an exciting two-day drama experience inspired by the epic Greek tale of The Odyssey

WORKSHOP DETAILS:

We will be running a two day workshop at Truro School’s Burrell Theatre:

Date: Thursday 9th and Friday 10th April 2026

Time: 0830-1700.

Age range: 7-13 years old.

COST: The cost of the camp will be £70 for two days.

WHAT TO EXPECT:

Through dynamic drama activities including Whoosh storytelling, freeze-frames, comedy, dialogue, dance,  soundscapes and physical theatre, students will explore Odysseus’ adventurous journey home — encountering Cyclops, Sirens, sea monsters, powerful gods and dramatic storms along the way.

During the two days the students will:

  • Develop confidence and performance skills
  • Build teamwork and communication
  • Use imagination and creative movement
  • Take on a variety of exciting roles
  • Make their own props and pieces of costume to use in performance

All activities are designed specifically for students aged 7 to 13 and delivered in a supportive, energetic environment.

By the end of the two days, students will have created their own lively retelling of this legendary adventure to perform to you in the theatre using sound and lighting to enhance their performance

No previous drama or dance experience required — just enthusiasm and imagination!
